INTERBUS INLINE MODULAR I/O
REDUCES INTRA-CABINET WIRING

HARRISBURG, PA - The INTERBUS Inline product family from Phoenix Contact redefines the classic control cabinet. The INTERBUS Inline family of automation (I/O) modules can be found in central control cabinets or distributed terminal boxes. INTERBUS Inline is used where costs are a factor and where space limitations are critical.

The most significant feature of the INTERBUS Inline family is the integration of signal conditioning and full network communications into small, modular housings. Due to the compact structure and combination of a number of functions in one module, INTERBUS Inline occupies less space compared to components found in a conventional control cabinet.

When creating an INTERBUS Inline station, automation modules may be assembled without the use of any tools. When the modules are properly installed, integrated contacts automatically connect all of the data and power circuits. Intramodule wiring is not required. The reduction of wiring points leads to shorter installation times and fewer errors. Sensor and actuator cables are easily connected without tools through the use of plug-in wiring arms. Exchanging modules when the INTERBUS Inline station is serviced is simple because there are no cables to wire and unwire.

The family of INTERBUS Inline modules currently includes:

  • 1 channel, 120 vac input, output
  • 2, 4, 8, 16 channel, 24 VDC digital output (500mA/ch)
  • 2 channel, 24 VDC digital output (2A/ch)
  • 2, 4, 8, 16 channel, 24 VDC input module
  • 2 channel, analog input
  • 1 channel, analog output
  • 2 channel, thermocouple input
  • 2 channel, RTD input
  • 1 channel, counter input
  • 2, 4 channel, form C relay contact

INTERBUS is an open systems approach to a high performance distributed device network for manufacturing applications. The high-efficiency INTERBUS protocol is ideally suited for today's high speed requirements and is supported by more than 1,000 third-party I/O device manufacturers worldwide. EN standard 50254
